Thoughts

Sylvia will be greatly missed by us all as she was a kind, caring, considerate and lovely lady. She was talented, generous and such fun. She loved to party and I was lucky enough to spend time with her in her garden, going out for lunch or just having a chat. She always made my family very welcome and she was like an extra mum to me. Di and family ❤️

What can I say? I feel so blessed to have had Nan in our lives. I have wonderful memories of baking with Nan (and then I never let anyone eat what i’d made because I was so proud). Of playing in the woods at Bowhay. Of the epic toy cupboard which always had interesting things to explore. To always playing ‘birthdays’ as soon as we got to Nan’s house - which meant lighting the candles in the dining room and singing happy birthday to anyone in the family whose birthday it was next. Ringing the cow bells in the hallway. In more recent years it has been wonderful to see Nan as a great grandmother. She adored her great grandchildren and you could see how much pleasure they brought her. And my kids loved to go and explore Nan Nan’s toy box too! Nan was fun to be with and funny. She loved a party and would come to our summer parties every year. I kept a bottle of Bacardi just for her and In always will. Nan will be very sadly missed but she is with Grandad now and that feels right, they have been apart a long time. Rest in Peace lovely Nan xxxx
